Product Details
Urea contains various vitamins and minerals, such as nitrogen, essential to plant growth and overall health. Direct Chems provides urea prills made by combine urea, a compound composed of carbon, nitrogen, oxygen, and hydrogen, with other substances to form solid granules. With a nitrogen content of 46%, this urea fertilizer is ideal for heavy nitrogen feeders.
Applications
Fertilizer
Urea fertilizer has a nitrogen content of 46%, ideal for heavy nitrogen feeders. It should be applied at the time of sowing, avoiding contact with seeds. Use in combination with earth or sand before its application. Do not apply when the soil contains free water or is likely to remain wet for 3-4 days after application.
Vegetable Garden
Urea can be incorporated into the soil during a tillage operation or can be blended into the soil with irrigation water. It can be used on a range of crops including tomatoes, cabbage, cucumber, potatoes and garlic. Before applying to crop, it is best to determine the specific needs of each vegetable.
Lawns
To give revive lawns, cover damp soil evenly with urea fertilizer then water the area heavily.
It is recommened to use 15 to 30g/m² either as a solid top dressing. As a solution apply 5 to 10g/m². At this rate 1Kg will fertilise an area 200m².
Foliar Spray
Dissolve in water or irrigation systems. 1 tablespoon of urea per gallon of water for a 0.5% concentrated solution. 4 tablespoons of urea per gallon of water to create a 2% concentrated solution. Shake well to dissolve granules and lightly spray leaves.
