Iron Sulphate (FeSO₄), commonly known as Ferrous Sulphate, is a widely used lawn treatment and soil conditioner valued for its ability to improve grass colour, strengthen turf and adjust soil conditions.
Iron is an essential nutrient for chlorophyll production and healthy plant growth. When applied to lawns, Iron Sulphate delivers a fast-acting iron boost that transforms pale or yellowing grass into a deeper, richer green while supporting stronger turf development.

Applications
LAWN GREENING & COLOUR INTENSIFICATION
Richer, Greener Lawns: Iron Sulphate boosts chlorophyll production in grass, helping lawns transition from pale or yellowing to a deep, healthy green within a short period of time.
How to Use: Dissolve 5g of Iron Sulphate per litre of water and apply evenly across the lawn using a watering can or sprayer. Alternatively, add 50g per square metre dry using a spreader. Water in after application if dry conditions persist.
STRONGER, HARDIER TURF
Improved Lawn Resilience: Iron Sulphate helps strengthen grass cell structure, encouraging thicker, tougher blades that better tolerate foot traffic, environmental stress and general wear.
How to Use: Apply 50g per square metre evenly across the lawn during the growing season. Treatments can be repeated 4-6 weeks as required.
REDUCE SOIL ALKALINITY
Improved Nutrient Availability: Iron Sulphate helps reduce soil alkalinity, gently lowering soil pH, helping unlock essential nutrients that may otherwise be unavailable to plant roots.
How to Use: Apply 30-50g per square metre across the soil surface and water thoroughly after application. Always test soil pH beforehand to determine if adjustment required.
IMPORTANT USAGE GUIDANCE
Apply Carefully: Avoid contact with paving, stone or concrete as Iron Sulphate may cause staining. Apply during calm, dry weather and always follow recommended application rates for best results.
