Product Details

Magnesium Sulphate (MgSO4), commonly known as Epsom Salts, is a highly soluble mineral salt applicable for a wide range of gardening and horticultural applications.


Both Magnesium and Sulphates – the key components of Epsom salt -  are essential secondary nutrients required for healthy plant development. With a naturally alkaline pH, it is particularly beneficial when used in acidic soils where magnesium availability may be limited.

Applications

BOOST SEED GERMINATION

Stronger starts: Magnesium found in Epsom Salts improves seed germination by strengthening cell walls and increasing energy for growth.

How to use: Before planting, add 1tbsp of Epsom salts to each hole then water thoroughly. Reapply each month during growing season.

NUTRIENT ABSORPTION

Healthier, thicker growth: Epsom Salts promote the plant’s absorption of key minerals resulting in stronger stems and more vigorous crops.

How to use: Apply 1 tbsp of our Epsom Salts mixed with 1 gallon of water, twice a month.

ROOT SHOCK PREVENTION

Reduced plant stress: Epsom Salts help to minimize wilting and leaf discolouration when moving or replanting.

How to use: Mix 1 tbsp of Epsom Salts with 1L of water and apply to the newly planted root area until saturated.


FLAVOUR ENHANCEMENT & ABUNDANT BLOOM

Richer harvest and vibrant flowers: Epsom Salts support chlorophyll production in plants; leading to more tastier fruits and vegetables, stronger plants and fuller blooms – ideal for fruit trees, berries, vines and flowering plants.

How to use: During growing season, mix 1 tbsp of Epsom Salts with 1 gallon of water and apply monthly to the beds.


NATURAL SLUG DETERRENT

Gentle protection: Through a natural dehydration effect, Epsom Salts help to deter slugs and pests.

How to use: Sprinkle a ring of Epsom Salts around the base of your plants as needed


GREENER, LUSHER LAWNS

Richer green colour: Epsom salts provide a natural boost of magnesium to support chlorophyll production; helping lawns to grow thicker, greener and more vibrant.

How to use: Mix 2 tbsp of Epsom Salts per gallon of water and distribute using a sprinkler or, alternatively, add directly to lawn via a spreader. Apply during the growing season as needed.


YELLOW LEAF TREATMENT

Restore Healthy Foliage: Yellowing leaves are often a sign of magnesium deficiency (chlorosis) Epsom salts help to replenish magnesium levels - encouraging greener, healthier leaves and improved plant vitality.

How to use: Mix 1 tsp of Epsom Salts per litre of water to a spray bottle and apply directly to affected foliage. Repeat every 2-4 weeks until a healthy leaf colour is regained.
