Applications
Broadcasting
The most common method involves spreading granular potash evenly over the soil surface, typically before planting. It can be left on the surface to be worked in by rain or tilled into the soil for better distribution.
Banding
Involves placing fertiliser in narrow bands next to or below the seed line. This is an efficient method, especially in cold or challenging soil conditions.
Fertigation
For a highly soluble form, potassium chloride can be dissolved and applied through an irrigation system for high-value crops.
